The following athletes will represent Brazil in the Modern Pentathlon competition: Yane Marques, Larissa Lellys and Priscila Oliveira for the women’s team and Wagner Romão Luís Barroso Magno for the men’s team.
RIO DE JANEIRO – The representatives for Brazil have been selected for the Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final that will be held on September 11, 12 and 13 at Complexo Desportivo de Deodoro. The representatives are: Yane Marques, Larissa Lellys and Priscila Oliveira for the women’s team and Wagner Romão and Luís Barroso Magno for the men’s team.
The third and last stage of the selection process for Brazil’s national team took place last Saturday in Rio de Janeiro. The World Cup Final will count with the presence of teams from 18 other countries: Hungary, Argentina, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Egypt, the UK, Italy, Latvia, Austria, Japan, Germany, France, the United States, Mexico, Canada and the Czech Republic. The athletes to watch out for are Lena Schoeneborn from Germany, the current Olympic champion and Edvinas Krungolcas from Lithuania, silver medalist in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
